As I mentioned in the last post, I’m currently living on a 16 acre tropical estate filled with fruit, palms, art, artists, coffee, and (currently) mud. The property is owned by Mr. Tom Sewell who is providing me with a lovely cottage in exchange for help with his art work in his great studio. My cottage has an outdoor shower and is at the edge of a hill overlooking the valley. I sleep in a big window, just like a cat.
I’ve been working on various projects for Tom, including shooting him and his wife and their land for an article about them that was published in the Wall Street Journal. You can see the article with my photos! I also shot a photo of a fellow named Sumner Erdman who owns an 18,000 (eighteen thousand) acre ranch on the south side of the island that got the opening double page spread in the University of Washington alumni magazine Columns.
I’m also working on a few personal projects around the island. More on that later, though. Here’s some relevant pictures from Maui.
